 Overview:

A water sensor (often called a rain sensor or leak detector) is a low-cost module used to detect the presence or level of water. It's commonly used in home automation, flood detection, and smart irrigation systems.

 Key Features:

• Voltage: 3.3V – 5V
• Output:
  • Analog (AO): Proportional to water level
  • Digital (DO): HIGH/LOW based on threshold
• Sensing Area: Exposed PCB traces that detect conductivity when wet
• Simple 3-pin interface: VCC, GND, DO/AO

 Common Uses:

• Water leakage alarm
• Plant watering systems
• Rain sensors for weather stations
• Water level monitoring in tanks or basins

 Tips:

• Don’t submerge the whole module—just the sensing area
• Clean with alcohol after long exposure to water to avoid corrosion
• Not suitable for precise water level measurements, but great for detection!
